Ziricote Atlatl

This exotic wood atlatl is a one of a kind.  Its overall length is 21.5 inches long.  Its weight is approximately 5.5 ounces.  This thrower is made from Ziricote wood, imported from Central America.  The handle is a mixture of various exotic hardwoods making up a beautiful accent on this dark wood.  See further details below.

Ziricote’s color ranges from medium to dark brown, sometimes with either a green or purple hue, with darker bands of black growth rings intermixed. Ziricote has a very unique appearance, which is sometimes referred to as “spider-webbing” or “landscape” grain figure.  This thrower has a hand carved, moose antler spur.  It also has a hand carved soapstone atlatl weight, to assist in a steady, accurate and powerful throw, making it a great hunting and or competition atlatl.  It has a suede index and thumb finger loops for a consistent and secure grasp of your atlatl.  These features make this thrower a beauty for display above your fireplace.  Its  sure to be the envy of your competition during those ISAC tournaments or during your hunts.
